Connect Apple Ads to Claude
You can connect Apple Ads (formerly Apple Search Ads) to Claude by adding AdPilot MCP as a custom connector. Claude can then review campaigns, audit wasted search terms, compare spend with RevenueCat proceeds, and make the keyword, negative, and bid changes you ask for, within the limits you set in AdPilot.

What you need before you start
- An AdPilot workspace with at least one app and Apple Ads connected on Connections. If you have not set up Apple API access yet, follow Set up an Apple Ads account and API user and Connect Apple Ads to AdPilot MCP first.
- A Claude account. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one custom connector.
- Optional: RevenueCat connected, so Claude can answer profitability questions as well as spend questions.
Claude never sees your Apple Ads private key or password. AdPilot keeps the Apple credentials, and Claude receives an OAuth token scoped to your AdPilot workspace.
Add AdPilot in Claude (Free, Pro, and Max)
- In Claude on the web or Claude Desktop, open Customize → Connectors.
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it
AdPilotand paste the MCP URL from AdPilot's Home or MCP Clients page:https://adpilotmcp.com/mcp. - Click Continue and keep the detected authentication settings. If sign-in fails later, edit the connector and choose Register automatically under OAuth client.
- Click Add, then sign in to AdPilot and approve access when the authorization page opens.
The connector now appears on AdPilot's MCP Clients page, where you can revoke it at any time.
Add AdPilot for a Claude Team or Enterprise organization
An organization Owner adds the connector once:
- Open Organization settings → Connectors.
- Click Add, hover over Custom, and select Web.
- Enter
AdPilotand the MCP URL, click Continue, and keep the detected OAuth settings.
Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, finds AdPilot, and clicks Connect. Every member signs in to AdPilot individually, so AdPilot's workspace roles and limits apply to each person separately.
Turn AdPilot on in a conversation
Click + in the lower left of the chat box, choose Connectors, and make sure AdPilot is toggled on. Connectors are enabled per conversation, so check the toggle when a new chat does not seem to use your Apple Ads data.
Name the app and a date range in complete days. AdPilot reports only complete days, so "the last 30 complete days" gives a cleaner answer than "this month".
Use AdPilot from Claude Code
Developers who work in the terminal can add the same server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http adpilot https://adpilotmcp.com/mcp
Start Claude Code, run /mcp, select adpilot, and complete the browser sign-in. AdPilot's built-in prompts then appear as slash commands, such as /mcp__adpilot__weekly_review, /mcp__adpilot__waste_audit, and /mcp__adpilot__profitability_review.
Worked example: a weekly waste audit in Claude
This example shows the shape of a typical session. The numbers are illustrative.
You: Review Apple Ads for Pantry Planner for the last 14 complete days. Find search terms that spent money without installs. Do not make changes yet.
Claude calls get_campaign_performance and find_wasted_spend, then answers with a short table:
| Search term | Campaign | Spend | Taps | Installs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| free recipe app | Discovery | $38 | 41 | 0 |
| meal kit delivery | Discovery | $22 | 19 | 0 |
| calorie counter | Category | $17 | 12 | 0 |
It notes that "calorie counter" may still be relevant to a meal-planning app and recommends watching it for another week instead of excluding it.
You: Add the first two as exact negatives on the Discovery campaign.
Claude calls create_campaign_exact_negatives. AdPilot checks the request against your workspace limits, applies it in Apple Ads, and returns an action ID. Claude confirms what changed and where to find it.
You: Show me what you changed today.
Claude calls get_action_history and lists the action with its before and after state. If you change your mind, ask Claude to roll back that action ID; AdPilot reverses eligible changes with rollback_action.
Prompts that work well in Claude
- Orient me to my Apple Ads account: apps, mapped campaigns, Search Match, and anything unusual.
- Run a weekly review for [App Name] and finish with three decisions I should make.
- Compare the last 14 complete days with the 14 before. Explain what changed in taps, conversion rate, and CPI.
- Which keywords spent the most with the weakest conversion this month? Do not change anything.
- Prepare bid reductions for keywords above my target CPA and show the new bids before applying them.
More prompts are in What to ask AdPilot about Apple Ads.
Troubleshooting checklist
- Claude answers without account data: check that the AdPilot connector is toggled on for this conversation, then ask Use AdPilot to list my apps.
- The authorization page fails: edit the connector, choose Register automatically under OAuth client, and sign in again.
- You reached the Free plan connector limit: remove an unused custom connector, or upgrade your Claude plan.
- A Team member cannot find AdPilot: an Owner must add it in Organization settings → Connectors first.
- An operation is blocked: read the limit named in Claude's answer. See Direct operations, limits, and audit before raising it.
How AdPilot works with Claude
Claude handles the conversation and reasoning. AdPilot holds your synced Apple Ads structure and metrics, app strategy notes, RevenueCat context, skills, limits, and audit history. Each tool call carries the OAuth identity of the Claude connector you approved, is validated server-side, and is recorded with that client, so changes made from Claude appear in Changes with everything made from other assistants.
